The Double Cluster in Perseus is perhaps known pre-historically. It was first catalogued in 130 B.C. by Hipparcus. Both clusters are quite young: hPersei is listed at 5.6 million years, while chiPersei at 3.2 million years.
They are approaching us at around 22km/sec.
